What We DoWe help managers to participate with purpose, courage, and skill in the everyday interactions through which performance outcomes emerge in practice – seeking to
shift the patterns of interaction in ways that increase the likelihood of 'changing the game' in organizationally beneficial ways..
We do this by introducing leading-edge thinking into the conversations around your specific issues and challenges – supporting you through an appropriate mix of hands-on consultancy; workshop facilitation; individual and team development; coaching and mentoring; and 'keynote' presentations.
We have also originated the wiggly world and informal coalitions views of organizational dynamics that sit at the core of our practice. We find that
these concepts resonate much more strongly with people's everyday lived experience than those that reflect conventional management 'wisdom'.
We tailor the content of our work, and the approaches we adopt, to meet your specific needs and context.
Our emphasis is on helping you to shape your own thinking, and on building your own capability to deal with the particular challenges that you face. In doing so, we shy away from using overly simplistic, deceptively packaged, and ultimately unfulfilling 'fast food' solutions. All of our work is informed by our distinctive perspective on the dynamics of organizational change and performance, as described in the How We're Different pages. And this means that we
participate in conversations around issues of current and emerging importance and stimulate action in relevant areas of our clients' business - such as organizational change, leadership development, and business performance.
For guidance only, some of the typical contributions that we have made are set out in the accompanying pages, using the following broad headings:
- Organizational Consulting
- Leadership Development
- Change Facilitation
- Issue-Based Workshops
- Strategic Performance Management
- Executive Coaching and Mentoring
- Conference Speaking
These might take place as discrete events or through ongoing engagement over a period of time.
With new clients, we always arrange a free-of-charge preliminary discussion; either face-to-face or via the telephone or other medium where a meeting is not reasonably practicable. This ensures that the services we offer can be properly matched to the challenges that the client faces, and that we can add sufficient value to merit our involvement. This meeting also provides an important first step in establishing a productive client-consultant relationship.
