INSPIRING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE CONFERENCE

Chesford Grange, Kenilworth, Warwickshire

Leading through change: in charge but not in control

The Lane4 session, based on the informal coalitions view of organisational dynamics, was led by the Director of Lane4's Europe Practice, Dominic Mahony* and Chris Rodgers.

During a thought-provoking and interactive hour, delegates were offered practical insights into how change really happens; explored the hidden, messy and informal side of change; and learned to engage with these dynamics in order to lead change more effectively.

Whilst not placing too much store in immediate post-worshop reactions, we were happy to receive the following comments from the organisers:

“As far a word of mouth goes and judging delegate reactions in the session Dom and Chris’s session was received extremely well.  Several delegates sought me out afterwards to say how much they enjoyed it – how it had given them new ideas about how to approach their change initiatives”

And, as regards the formal feedback:

“Please see below a summary of the feedback results which rate the presentations in a hierarchy of those most positively received. As you can see Lane4 came out top! So thanks for a valuable contribution.”

Dominic Mahony is Lane4's Europe Practice Director.  He is an Olympic Bronze Medallist and current Team Manager for GB Modern Pentathlon.
